KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the production schedule modification plans for installations.
- Assist/lead capital projects, including; development of equipment specification, coordination of equipment runoffs, installation of equipment, and management of outside contractors.
- Manage outside contractors involved in process/equipment improvement.
- Work closely with all levels of the organization to improve upon manufacturing machinery and process improvements.
- Knows significant environmental aspects of the job and the related operational controls.
- Cost studies, what ifs, capacity...machining
- Work directly with turn key suppliers (Gosiger).
- Work with AUB PM and Engineering personnel.
- Interface with BGR Production / Quality during launch phase.
- Facilitate outside vendors to train assigned BGR Production TL and operators.
- Tool studies / VAVE support before and during launch. Assist Production Engineering post launch as needed.
- Problem solving before and during launch.
- PFMEA generation for new programs.
- New technology and Vendor identification.
- Develop layout proposals and manage installation of all new equipment.
- Create "Decision Matrix" for new vendor selection.
- Respond to CRS requests; support NBAs
- New program routings and updates to existing routings
- ECR / ECN approval responsibility
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing management or related degree and/or equivalent experience.
Preferred;
- Five or more years experience in manufacturing engineering environment.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
- Lean Enterprise experience.
- Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, MfgPro, Kronos, CAD).
- Good judgment, prioritization, negotiation, analytical, organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
- Experience in logistics or production planning is preferred, but not required.
