Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff on the night shift, ensuring top-notch patient care.
- Conduct timely performance appraisals and provide counseling and recommendations as needed.
- Oversee admissions, discharges, and ensure the highest quality of care.
- Address and follow up on Veteran/Member issues, providing direct care when required.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, State, Federal, and VA regulations.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in gerontological nursing practices.
- Knowledge of team nursing concepts and pharmacology.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and respond to medical emergencies.
- Familiarity with the Arizona Management System (AMS).
Experience:
- Minimum 1+ years in a Skilled Nursing/Long-term Care facility.
Education:
- Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
