Rn - Medical Surgical

Job Description:

Duration: 13 weeks.
Shift:  12 Hours Shift (Evening/Night)
Hours:  36 hrs/week
No. of position: 1

Duties:

• Help provide high-quality patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and diversity.
• Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for general care and select IMC patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.
• Work in a collaborative environment, surrounded by state-of-the-art technology, evidence-based practice, and a strong interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.
• Collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.

Minimum Requirements:

Facility Requirement:

• Traveler must have a permanent address outside the 50-mile radius of Madison.

Experience:

• Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
• Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
• Traveler must have completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).

Education:

• Associate degree in Nursing.

Licensure and Certification:

• Traveler must have a WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.  
• BLS  – must be certified through the American Heart Association ONLY

Telemetry:

• Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.

Floating:

• Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age.
• The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs.
• During the traveler’s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
