Job description:
As a Home Infusion Nurse, you will work safely and independently outside the hospital in a continuously growing specialized field of nursing. At Heritage you will be equipped the tools to provide your patients' the high-quality, patient-centered care they deserve, while focusing on the delivery of IV therapy in the comfort of their homes. This position is designed to allow you the autonomy to manage your own schedule by being an Independent Contractor and partnering directly with our amazing team.

Shift: All Shifts - Based on patient needs
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with at least 2 year of RN experience
- Minimum of two-year nursing experience with successful placement of IV; IV infusions experience is a plus.
- Active and unrestricted RN licensure in the states of NH, CT and/or MA
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Possess a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of Home Infusion Nursing include but is not limited to:
- Provide friendly and professional care in person and throughout all communication including education regarding prescribed treatments.
- Must be able to INITIATE and MAINTAIN vascular access to deliver IV medications, basic knowledge of PICC and PORTS.
- Safely and accurately administer all oral, IV, IM, and SQ medications; collect labs if necessary.
- Perform patient assessments prior to and during IV infusions & notify supervisory staff and pharmacists of any abnormal findings.
- Complete all required documentation promptly (within 24 hours) including visit Nursing Notes, Plan of Treatments, Medication Profiles, etc.
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills and a personal laptop or tablet to view orders and complete documentation.
- Attend one time orientation prior to seeing patients.
- Travel can range from 15 minutes to 1 hour from the patients’ home.
- Mindfulness and organizational skills.
- Critical and quick-thinking skills as you will be working independently.
- Time management skills and the ability to create and arrange your own schedule.
- Exceptional and professional communication skills as you will be communicating with agency schedulers to receive patient needs and orders, patients to verify delivery of medication and supplies and schedule visits, and our DON with clinical clarifications as needed.
