Provide nursing assessment, care, and referral for injured or ill UPH team members. Be a resource to UPH team members in complying with state and federal regulations towards a safe and healthy workforce.

Come for a fulfilling career and experience a culture guided by uncompromising values and unwavering belief in doing what's right for the people we serve.* Benefits - Our competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits options like 401K match, paid time off and education assistance that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what life stage you're in.* Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment - We're committed to ensuring you have a voice that is heard regardless of role, race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation.* Development - We believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is an essential part of delivering a remarkable employment experience.* Community Involvement - Be an essential part of our core purpose-to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.Hear more from our team members about why UnityPoint Health is a great place to work at https://dayinthelife.unitypoint.org .ResponsibilitiesClinical Experience* Provide medical care to injured/ill team members when needed.* Conduct examination and/or testing such as: Post job offer exams, audiometric/pulmonary testing, blood screens and other surveillance as required for team members.* Manage day to day activities to include:* Medical /nurse supply management.* Provide immunizations (influenza vaccination, Hepatitis B, Tdap, TB screening, etc.).* Program development and health consultations when needed.* Collaborate with community and UnityPoint resources as appropriate.* Maintain UPH team member medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations.* Support UPH compliance with state and federal regulations (i.e., OSHA, workers compensation, etc.).* Facilitate and provide wellness activities such as:* Employee health exams, blood pressure screening, wellness blood testing, biometric testing, health coaching and education programs (i.e., blood borne pathogen training, hearing conservation, pulmonary screening, etc.) when assigned.* Facilitate team member to work/school and fitness for work duty related to work related or personal health issuers.Basic UPH Performance Criteria* Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.* Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.* Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.* Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.* Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.* Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff.

Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsIdentify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position.Preferred or SpecializedNot required to perform the essential functions of the position.Education:Registered NurseBSN preferredExperience:Occupational Health, Employee Health, or Workers Compensation experience preferredLicense(s)/Certification(s):Current nursing license in compact state, BLS certified within 30 days of hire.Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.COHN-desirable.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge or worker's compensation law and OSHA regulations, along with knowledge of ADA and FMLA leave administration. Ability to perform complex administrative analysis with only general supervision. Strong diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to use statistical information to identify trends and track progress of the programs. Requires the ability to present and disseminate data to various levels. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding programs, participants, and other information in compliance with HIPPA.

Requires advanced knowledge of computerized systems and operating environments (i.e., Microsoft Office products and specialized computer systems). Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee base. Requires critical thinking, organizational decisive judgment, analytical problem solving, excellent communication and good customer service skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
