Rn Educator - Hospitals

Supports the educational needs of clinical staff for the advancement of clinical practice and professional development. Utilizes evidence-based methodology to build educational plans and programs. Demonstrates expertise in clinical practice, and collaborates and consults with clinical administrative disciplines. Continually evaluates quality data, including nursing quality indicators, to guide educational needs of nursing staff. Collaborates with clinical nurse specialists on evaluation of best practices and supports the implementation and education of evidence based care strategies. Coordinates with clinical nurse specialists and workforce RN educators in the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs which facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency attainment for Summa Health System staff.

Formal Education Required:
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education, or related field ED preferred.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in Master’s Degree program required.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio

Experience & Training Required:
Three (3) years Professional RN experience
One (1) year experience in education of adults
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
ACLS, PALS certification required based on area of specialty
ANCC Nursing Professional Development Board Certification (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $50.00 per hour
