The RN Educator is responsible for providing training, competency validation and documentation of training to unlicensed staff working in residential facilities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Training and competency validation for unlicensed personnel (UAP) is completed based on guidance from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, Areas of training/competency validation include: medication administration, gastrostomy care and feedings, catheter care for foley, suprapubic and condom catheters, oxygen and CPAP use and care, ostomy care, proper PPE use, handwashing and a variety of other nursing tasks based on the needs of the clients. This position requires routine travel to training sites and to residential facilities as needed. Routine training classes are normally scheduled weekdays between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
This position is a full time salaried position which allows flexibility and the ability to work remotely, although travel to and from training sites and residential facilities is required on a routine and as needed basis.
Salary range begins at $66,000.00. Experience will be taken into consideration. A competitive benefit package including health insurance, PTO and a company vehicle will be provided.
