About our unit:
2 East is a fast paced 18 bed unit specializing in Women’s Health and a Center of Excellence for Bariatric surgical patients.
- 2E also specializes in Pediatrics with 8 beds dedicated to the care of pediatric medical/surgical and trauma patients.
- We have recently expanded to include 5 telemetry beds to accommodate any of our specialty patients that may need monitoring.
- We encourage staff involvement in shared governance and promote certification in our specialties.
The Clinical Manager
- Maintains 24 hour accountability for area of service.
- Provides administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities for areas of service.
- Participates in the development of the nursing strategic plan.
- Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, and the delivery of patient and family centered care. Promotes a caring, healing environment for patients, families and staff.
- Provides clinical support to staff. Supervises staff in their delivery of care and evaluation of results.
Education – BSN required
Experience – A minimum of 5 years of experience in related setting.
Licensure/Certification – Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland required. Professional Certification in Nursing Leadership or area of clinical specialty preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing leadership with compassion and empathy. Advanced computer skills including use of MIcrosoft Office components required. Must possess high level of organizational and communication skills.
