The Clinical Coordinator serves as a clinical expert to the patient and clinical staff. Ensures efficient medical management of patients by expediting communication with physicians, patients and clinical staff. Assures that the Mercy Mission, Mercy Values, Service Standards, confidentiality, policies and procedures of the health center are followed. This responsibility includes enhancement of customer satisfaction through patient/family teaching, effective management of clinical tests/procedures and appropriate utilization of the Health Center's resources to optimize patient care. Clinical Coordinator serves to facilitate appropriate patient flow through the bariatric surgery process. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Preferred Education: BSN
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in an acute setting.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Completes Hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services/MyEducation assignments and relevant certifications (ex. BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) within required time frame
