Job description

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services not only include basic medical care, but also dental, optometry, behavioral health services, fitness, nutrition and other family programs.

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Grants Assistant to our Finance team! The Grants Assistant will provide program and grant management assistance for designated departments. The Grant Assistant must demonstrate ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables; ability to interpret and provide instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram or schedule form.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in seeking financial support for programs, assists in creating and implementing programs, program planning and providing guidance to further develop and implement those programs.
  • Regularly evaluates programs for compliance and effectiveness, makes improvements when necessary, and tracks and reports how services are delivered.
  • Regularly communicates with HR and Finance regarding grant budgets, grant personnel, and changes to both.
  • Supports findings with objective data, including statistics, research, and objective data tools.
  • Keeps up with trends in the field to ensure programs are evidence-based and align with the strategic plan.
  • Assists with program budgets, obtaining funding, and searching for new funding sources.
  • Coordinates all grant activity with designated leadership.
  • Performs analyses by using statistical techniques commonly employed in epidemiologic evaluations to interpret and analyze observed health phenomena.
  • Uses surveillance systems to collect disease or health outcome data.
  • Generates descriptive analyses of surveillance data for a variety of audiences.
  • Participates on internal and external committees and work groups related to areas of expertise.
  • Assists in writing abstract to help present program findings.
  • Strengthen partnerships between the public, affiliate organizations, and/or business partners.

  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Non-Profit, Community Health, or Indian Health preferred
