Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients. They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm. Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.
Pay range: $37/hr. - $46/hr. based on experience
Hours of operation: 7am - 7:30pm and every other weekend
JOB SUMMARY
- The Patient Care Supervisor oversees daily operations of their assigned regions (Communication Center/Clinical Staffing/Crisis Care), manage job performance.
- Oversees work schedule for all staff.
- Serves as the professional and administrative leader directing, the care connection staff.
- Plans and assures the coordination of the clinical and patient care activities of the assigned teams.
- Functions as a liaison between administration, physicians, and coordinators utilizing a teamwork approach.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and Joint Commission regulatory requirements.
A. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
- RN degree from a college or university, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and/or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education preferred.
- Currently licensed and registered in the State of Florida.
- BSN preferred.
B. Skills:
o One year of leadership experience in healthcare required.
o Ability to use independent judgement
o Works effectively with little or no direction
o Working knowledge of sound business practices, finance, skilled in problem solving.
o Works well under stress with deadlines.
o Ability to handle a variety of complex projects simultaneously.
C. Professional Requirements:
o Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
D. Language Skills:
o Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
