Personal Support Worker/Companion

Assist individuals in-home and community-based activities also provide assistance and training to the individual in activities of daily living.

Essential Functions:

• Attends work as scheduled and follows procedures.
• Provides assistance as needed with bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, eating, toileting, escorting, and other activities of daily living.
• Follows consumers’ service plans in providing care.
• Provides emotional and social support to consumers.
• Adheres to the company's documentation standards.
• Informs the company of any consumers’ issues or concerns.
• Knows, understands, and adheres to consumers’ rights.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Complete all required training,
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward consumers, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of the company
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education And Requirements

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR, First Aid Certified
• Must pass Level 2 background check
• Medication Administration
• Zero Tolerance Training (APD)
• Local Sherriff Department Screening
