Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for multiple travel / contract positions in Brattleboro, VT. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Pay Rate: Range $2400 to $2600 weekly Gross pay (Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)
Unit: Behavioral health unit, Adolescent and Children unit
Shift:10 Hours; Evenings, 12.00p – 10.30p
Schedule: 40 hours / week guaranteed, 4 shifts per week, every other weekend and some on-call
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 3 years - Required
- Recent/Current Psychiatric or Behavioral health nursing: 3 years – Required
- Experience with Admissions/Intake/Bed placement: 2 years - Required
- Experience with Adolescent and Child patient population - Required
- Covid Vaccinated – Required
- Covid Vaccination Booster (must be willing to get if not already vaccinated) – Required
Education, License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- RN License for State of VT or Compact - Required (Facility will pend VT license, can apply upon offer)
- CPI Certification or similar – Preferred
- BLS Certification from AHA - Required
Job Description:
- Provides initial clinical review of referral for services n the Admissions department.
- In collaboration with the physician, provides guidance and clinical information to inform the most appropriate placement of acute patient referrals.
- Reports to the Clinical Bed Placement Nurse Manager.
- Reviews faxed documentation and calls from referral agencies and, in collaboration with the physician, determines appropriateness for the facility.
- Participates in daily safety huddle as well as census, acuity and staffing plans throughout the day with nurse managers, physician leadership and staffing coordinator.
- Conducts nurse to nurse calls with referring agencies, and clinical hand off calls to the inpatient units
- Communicates clearly and effectively with all referral agencies, outside nurse partners and internal clinical stakeholder.
- Responsible for ensuring that the medication history, compliance and reconciliation process is complete in partnership with the on-call physician.
- Provides comprehensive hand offs both verbal and written to appropriate Clinical Managers and House Supervisor.
- Responsible for coordination of patient throughput in the Admissions department.
- Appropriately delegates tasks to the LNA, MHW’s and LAB staff in the Admissions department to provide for quality patient care and throughput.
- Follows all organizational policies and procedures outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual of the facility.
