RN, Assistant Director of Nursing

Castle Peak is hiring a Registered Nurse to lead our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing. We are a 24 bed assisted living campus nestled in the stunning mountains of Eagle, CO. As the Assistant Director of Nursing you will play a key role in achieving our mission of providing the highest quality of care for our residents. You will be responsible for organizing, directing, implementing and evaluating the clinical program. You will use your knowledge to help train and educate our caregiving staff to deliver exceptional resident care and services in line with regulations and clinical best practices.
This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.
Pay: $83,200 - $120,000 / year depending on experience.
Assistant Director of Nursing Responsibilities:

• Complete initial assessment of potential residents.
• Rotate on-call with building staff.
• Oversee nursing care for Assisted Living residents.
• Assisting with the skilled nursing residents care
• Create and implement individual Care Plan for each resident.
• Ensure residents' rights are protected and advocates on their behalf.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel and family regarding residents' current needs and health status.
• Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas.
• Monitor and maintain resident charts and progress notes.
• Oversee ordering, set up and administration of all medications.
• Provide health and medication training to all nursing personnel as well as continued education and documents teaching and training assuring compliance with current regulations.
• Oversee and conduct supervision of caregivers including employee guidance, coaching and discipline to maintain high standard of care and positive work environment.

Assistant Director of Nursing skills and requirements:

• Must be a RN in good standing and licensed in Colorado or any state that is a part of the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Practices nursing in accordance with the CO Nurse Practice Act.
• BLS/ CPR Certificate
• Strong leadership skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department.
