Recovery Place Seattle is an Inpatient facility for patients living with substance use disorder who need medical detox. Registered Nurses will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of medical and clinical professionals to administer safe and therapeutic treatment to clients. The Admissions Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe and therapeutic care and coordination of services through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position supports and promotes a recovery-oriented, person-centered treatment experience through the provision of safe and therapeutic nursing services to clients by means of assessment, diagnosis, and care planning. Milieu management and crisis de-escalation are also integral components of this nursing role.
Essential Job Functions: (This is not the job description in its entirety)
- Assess and screen for medical appropriateness for admission/readmission into detox.
- Works and collaborates with local emergency departments and other community referral sources to screen patients on the phone.
- Performs patient admissions into the Withdrawal Management Services program.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Intake Department about screenings and admissions.
- Provide hands on assessment care to patients during the admissions process
- Assess patient's medical status and refers as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Washington State License as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certified
- CPI Certification required within 6 months of hire (training provided by Valley Cities)
Experience:
- One or more years of experience in nursing required
- One-year experience in an acute care setting preferred
