Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Admissions Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs and coordinating their admission to our healthcare facility. As an Admissions Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admission process for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and medical history
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans
- Coordinate the admission process, including completing necessary paperwork and obtaining consent from patients or their legal representatives
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding the admission process, treatment options, and available resources
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
