Position Description: Program Administrator for Licensed Practical Nursing Program in Ohio
Position Summary: The Program Administrator is responsible for the overall administration and management of the Licensed Practical Nursing Program in Ohio. The Program Administrator will work in collaboration with the faculty and staff to ensure the program meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
Responsibilities: The Program Administrator will have the following responsibilities:
1. Administration of the program:
· Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
· Ensure the program is in compliance with state and national standards.
· Maintain accreditation and oversee the program’s self-study process.
· Review and revise program policies and procedures in collaboration with faculty and staff.
· Provide input into the budget process.
· Maintain communication with central administration and other units of controlling agency, faculty, teaching assistants, students, clinical agencies, and the board.
· Submit to the board a corrective action plans any time the program administrator submits one or more erroneous certifications of program completion to the board.
Requirements:
1. Education:
· Master’s degree.
(i) If the individual does not possess a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, The master’s, or other academic degree, including, but not limited to a PH. D, shall be in nursing.
(ii) If the individual possesses a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree, the master’s degree may be, but is not required to be, in nursing.
2. Licensure:
· Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Ohio.
3. Experience:
· At least five years of experience in the practice of nursing as a Registered Nurse, two of which have been as a faculty member of a Registered or Practical nursing education program.
· Experience in curriculum development, program administration, and personnel management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
