Responsible for the security, safety, and property of Reynolds Memorial Hospital, its employees, students, volunteers, and visitors to the hospital.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High school education or equivalent preferred.

1. Prior experience in the Security field.

1. Directs and supervises traffic control.
2. Assists Nursing Staff as requested by Chief Security Officer.
3. Participates in patient safety training and patient protection, including the needs and methods to report medical/healthcare errors and/or abuse.
4. Provides courier services for all Hospital Departments.
5. Locks all exit doors and rechecks as rounds of Hospital are made.
6. Checks all windows and doors to insure they are properly locked.
7. Makes rounds of Nurses' Residence to be certain doors are locked, grounds are free of prowlers, and fire equipment is in good order.
8. Patrols parking areas to be sure cars are properly parked to prevent vandalism, and to keep children from playing in and around cars.
9. Checks emergency ramp each hour to eliminate extended parking.
10. Tours of hospital buildings and construction areas will be made and documented as designated to prevent theft, guard against vandalism, equipment malfunctions, and to guard against fire.
11. During winter months, checks and reports snow and ice conditions. In summer, check sewer wells after rains and report, if required.
12. Is knowledgeable concerning kind, location, and use of firefighting equipment available in Hospital and auxiliary buildings.
