Description:
Board validation: using test and measurement instruments to bring-up, test, & validate new PCBA designs
Candidate will work under the direction of senior engineers and engineering managers at the client location
Credentials:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, or associates degree or diploma in electronics, or equivalent experience
4-8 years of industry experience
Skills / responsibilities:
Experience with test and measurement instruments, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, LCR meters, VNAs, TDRs, electronics loads, etc
Rework, soldering
Board bring-up, troubleshooting, validation against system-level specifications:
Opens/shorts
Power rails, current draw
Measurement of basic life of subsystems using test code provided by FW team
Documentation of passed/failed boards
Testing across environmental conditions using environmental chambers, validating design margins: timing, voltage levels, load capacities, etc.
