We are currently looking for a Senior System Validation Engineer to join the System Engineering Validation team to design & develop next-generation experiences.
As a Senior System Validation Engineer you will be working on the latest technology and materials to bring the best & optimal power/thermal/performance experience to our users.
Responsibilities
To be successful, you will need to collaborate across a variety of internal functional groups and with external development partners. You will work across all disciplines to deliver innovative products across Surface Hardware. Your partners will be software engineers, electrical engineers, architects and program managers. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with a passion for integrated experiences to ensure we are delivering the complete end-to-end hardware and software experiences that delight our customers.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Python or firmware experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Validation for consumer products
- 2+ years experience shipping products and having been through more than one shipping cycle (same or different product).
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Validation for consumer products
- Able to Debug across various environments and to quickly identify and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems, owners and organizations.
- Development and/or Architectural experience in areas such as system drivers and device drivers a plus.
- Experience with analyzing Windows and hardware level tracing is beneficial.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and self-driven to drive Power& Performance focused experiences for future generations.
- Tolerance for ambiguity with an ability to make progress in the face of it.
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to work across multiple discipline and functions (Program Management, Test, Hardware etc)
