Title: Risk Management Support Services Coordinator

Ethics, Compliance, and Risk Management (ECRM) supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

The opportunity

Our Risk Management Support Services Coordinator supports US Risk Management functional teams with performing specific tasks that help maintain compliance with firm policy and regulatory guidelines. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and understanding of firm’s processes, resources and tools to effectively support functional teams and customers

  • Facilitate and strongly drives the process to completion by following up on requests and assisting EY personnel with client & RFP Questionnaires

  • Assist with gathering required information for EY personnel to gain/maintain licensure

  • Monitor and responds to internal inquiries for agreement repository requirements and protocols

  • Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of risk, regulations, technologies, emerging trends, developments and best practices

  • Perform duties and responsibilities with limited supervision

  • Process and/or review complex transactions with a risk perspective

  • Liaise with functional teams to identify concerns, share/obtain feedback, and facilitate customer relationship effectively

  • Contact team members proactively regarding processing issues, as appropriate

  • Produces work of high quality that is timely, accurate, complete and clear Assist with special projects as requested

  • Prepare and run reports

  • Prepare and update process documentation and assist with implementation as needed

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge, maintains knowledge, and identify trends and lessons learned regarding compliance and Risk Management policies and related areas.

  • Build and leverage a network of contacts within Risk Management and across the firm

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong research skills using internal and external data sources (i.e., Firm independence database, internal Sharepoint and resource sites, etc.).

  • Knowledge of corporate entity structures (i.e., LLC, LLP, private).

  • Ability to communicate in concise and coherent manner.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); able to interface with personnel at all levels

  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand client needs and requirements, including working with virtual teams

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive information

  • Independently handle high stress situations

  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills

  • Effectively manage conflicting priorities, organize workflow, and team with colleagues to accomplish tasks and balance workloads

  • Approachable, effective listener and builds rapport well

  • Ability to apply protocols and structured procedures independently

To qualify you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years related experience, specifically within Risk Management operations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.).

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience with SharePoint

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $41,700 to $73,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $50,000 to $83,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
