Role Overview:
The Operations Risk Reporting Associate will be part of the US Operations Risk & Regulatory Reporting team. The position sits within the 1st List of Defense (1LOD) as defined by the groups risk framework. The role will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as Business & IT Controls, Group Risk, Operations & Senior Management to ensure the regional Operations group stays within the groups risk appetite. The position will be responsible for a broad array of duties as defined below.
Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate & monitor Risk Management activity within the Operations group
- Raise & investigate risk events both caused by or impacting the Operations group
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conduct holistic reviews of all risk events and identify mitigations actions
- Raise & administer risk issues & ensure all actions are completed within the defined timelines
- Liaise with Group Risk, IT and internal/external contacts to assist with data extract for KRI/KPI reporting, capacity scorecard analysis and operational data analytics
- Coordinate and manage the gathering of daily & monthly risk metrics including any required reporting into the central risk system
- Enhance Risk Management reporting structures across the Americas Operations department.
- Partner with Operations team leads to ensure all required controls are in place functioning effectively
- Act as primary point of contact between the Operational function and the Risk function on a day to day basis, championing Risk Management in the function and coordinating with the Risk function as required
- Assist with all recurring annual risk related exercises (Control Attestations, Risk Self-Assessment (RSA), Stress Testing, Control Testing)
- Assist with the creation & presentation of the monthly global risk control pack to senior management
Experience / Competencies:
- Advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of VBA/Macros is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI/Power Query is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Independent, self-motivated, with ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment
- Strong analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong risk and controls awareness
- Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
- Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines
- Multi-tasker who can manage multiple streams of work concurrently
- Wide knowledge of financial products
- Excellent attention to detail
- Product knowledge (equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, rates) including the booking and life cycle of these transactions is a plus.
- Previous relevant work experience in financial services is a plus.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
