About this Position:
The Credit Risk Analyst in the Consumer Financial Services division of AHFC will assist in the company's consumer credit risk management and credit loss mitigation efforts by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the credit quality and performance of the Consumer Financial Services portfolio. In addition, the role will lend subject matter expertise to support direction and recommendations related to originations scorecards, automated credit decisioning, and efficiency improvements for credit-related areas of risk. This supports AHFC's objective to maintain a healthy financial position, which in turn supports our parent company AHM with profitability.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Maintain analyses and reporting for credit areas assigned
• Support the Credit Risk area by assisting with analytical ad hoc assignments as needed
• Look for efficiencies for credit-related areas of risk, which includes working with the company's data systems to ensure integrity
• Identifying trends and developments in the automotive industry and making recommendations to management
Qualifications
Who are we seeking:
• BA/BS degree required in mathematics/statistical, finance, economics, business, business administration or related field
• 2 + years in lending, scoring, financial or statistical field
• Knowledge of indirect loan/lease consumer lending
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of credit market
• Educational or work experience equivalent to above requirements
Other Job Specific Skills:
• Proficient in MS Windows applications, with a strong emphasis in Excel and Acce
• Experience with statistical financial modelling with spreadsheet
• Experience querying relational database
• Exposure to data mining large dataset
• Exposure to VBA, SAS, SQL
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skill
• Excellent mathematical skills and financial acumen
• Good verbal and written communication skill
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and Independent thinker
• Good organizational ability
