What’s unique about this role?
The Lighthouse Managed Review function includes a team of lawyers with extensive document review management experience. The Manager position focuses on consultation for review project management best practices, leveraging both Lighthouse proprietary and third-party technology tools. Review Consultation Managers advise on optimal methods to reduce data from linear review and serve as a primary point of contact with counsel and client. This position will also oversee the work conducted by a review staffing partner for any remaining data requiring eyes-on or privilege review.
This is a dynamic role focused on consultative efforts of a tech-forward approach, helping our clients find key documents early and produce high quality results while drastically reducing spend on linear document review. The position centers on a consultative approach as opposed to a limited focus on execution of tactical items. You will gain exposure to Lighthouse’s market-disruptive technologies which are making a true impact on how the market can better capitalize on available technology in document review.
What will this person do?
- Consult with client and counsel to develop, implement, and supervise execution of Lighthouse-level standards which meet project specific requirements
- Recommend and drive best practices in review as a trusted advisor both internally and externally
- Lead communication among counsel, client, and review vendor on substance and progress of review
- Design matter-specific project plans, including review workflow strategy and optimal application of technology
- Manage document review vendor to ensure adherence to Lighthouse playbook and execution of throughput goals & quality deliverables
- Collaborate across Lighthouse teams including AI experts and data project managers
- Consult on technology efficiency drivers for redaction application and privilege logging
- Provide client-specific subject matter expertise
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Knowledge of litigation discovery process and objectives
- Excellent communication skills suited to a client-facing role, careful attention to detail, and superior technical aptitude
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency as an end user in Relativity, Brainspace, Blackout and comparable platforms
- Experience with Second Requests preferred
- Five years of experience as a document Review Manager with review provider or law firm
- Attorney, active and in good standing in any US jurisdiction
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
- Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Lighthouse complies with compensation disclosure requirements for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.
The expected pay for this role will range from $95,500 to $128,500 per year. This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
