IN SUMMARY...
The Revenue Cycle Payments Specialist provides oversight and sets the direction for all payment and denial posting functions for the RCM services division at Azalea Health.
WHAT YOU WILL DO...
- Responsible for payment processing management processes and protocols
- Ensure that all activities related to payment posting meet department requirements, maximizes revenue collection, and achieves leading practice levels of performance.
- Deploys audit techniques across all payment functions to ensure quality control is maintained
- Provides recurring feedback to posting resources (including offshore) to eliminate any recurring errors
- Analyzes complex posting issues and applies critical thinking to provide solutions
- Identifies, analyzes, and researches frequent root causes of posting errors to vendor management with possible action plans for resolution
- Effectively communicate directly with clients to help resolve complex, escalated posting issues
- Effectively understands and communicates health care industry and payer specific guidelines as it relates to payment management in addition to internal Azalea and Client specific guidelines
- Assists Senior Payment Specialist with projects as assigned
- Assists the RCM Vendor Manager with additional payment posting related Revenue Cycle Management-related duties, as assigned.
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING...
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- CPC, CPB, or equivalent highly preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in progressive payment management experience
- Strong understanding of of manual vs automated posting functions
- Banking, Accounting experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in web-based and SaaS applications
