B. Elevated Candle Bar is an exciting growing company bringing the interactive retail and entertainment experience of luxury candle making to one of Houston’s favorite shopping areas. B. Elevated Candle Bar has immediate openings for part time Retail Sale Associates.
Founded in 2021, we are a luxury candle company that has outgrown our current brick-and-mortar space and are scaling to a larger store. As a boutique retailer, we sell our own signature scents and give customers the opportunity to create their own personal fragrance. B. As a Retail Sales Associate you are an integral part of our team guaranteeing that our customers receive an exceptional experience in our store daily. Your Day-to-Day:
Retail Sales Associates will be directly responsible for ensuring guests receive an outstanding and unforgettable experience by:
● Providing outstanding customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making them feel comfortable and engaged
● Complying with all company policies and procedures
● Provides customer feedback with Store Manager & Owner
● Assisting in the company wide marketing campaigns and attract new and repeat customers through content creation, social media, word of mouth, cold calls
● Performing work at a consistently high level of quality
● Interacts with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases
● Operates cash register and handles cash payments and credit card processing
● Making sure the store is appropriately stocked with merchandise
● Joyfully leading candle making classes and assisting in the candle making process.
● Assisting in housekeeping to ensure a clean, safe, and luxurious experience for our customers.
● Ability to perform individually and as part of a team
● Able to follow task delegated to you by Store Manager and Owner of the store
● All other duties assigned or necessary to ensure the success of the store
Schedule/Availability
Flexibility is required to always ensure store success. Due to retail nature of the store, Associates are expected to work some weekends and holidays. This is a part time position that could advance to a full-time role in the future. As a part time team member you’ll receive 10-20 hours of work per week.
Experience (must have - deal breakers)
· 1 year working in the retail or service industry (Fast paced environment)
· Self-motivated
· Friendly and strong commitment to customer service
· Basic math skills
Job Assets (nice to have but not required)
· High School Diploma/Ged
· Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system
· Experience operating a cash register
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
· Stand for periods of time
Base Compensation
$10-12/hr with competitive commissions opportunities that can easily increase your base compensation in excess of $13-16 an hour.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 15 per week
