Position Summary:
The Retail Operations Clerk will have responsibility assisting the Retail Operations Manager in all administrative aspects of the department. Departmental operations include receiving, picking, put-away, ecommerce, product distribution to stores through large-scale sorting machines. The Retail Operations Clerk will be primarily responsible for the organization of the office, communicating on behalf of the Retail Operations Manager, and performing data entry/analysis.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Retail Operations Clerk include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Retail Operations Manager in meeting their daily responsibilities.
- Provide clerical support including photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, answering the phone , and generally maintaining an organized and efficient office environment.
- Act as communications liaison between the Retail Operations Manager and other members of the leadership team, including scheduling and organizing meetings
- Create, update, and periodically distribute statistical reports
- Collect, enter, and analyze data into spreadsheets and warehouse management software
- Perform all necessary administrative functions of the department when the Retail Operations Manager is out.
- Assist in special projects as needed.
- Look for ways for continuous improvement.
- Promote a clean and safe work environment. Work on safety tasks as assigned.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Skills, Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
· Previous warehouse/distribution experience helpful.
· Familiarity and demonstrable experience with personal computers, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required. Demonstrable experience with warehouse management and/or logistics software preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Good math, counting, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task, and adaptability are required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities
· Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner
· Must have excellent attention to detail while maintaining accuracy.
· Consistently at work and on time.
· Ability to learn new skills and follow directions.
· Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
· Must maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times with the highest level of customer service.
· Individual must be safety conscious.
· Working knowledge in the use of warehouse technology including radio-frequency (RF) scanners to perform daily functions is a plus.
· Ability to work in a warehouse environment setting with physical demands that include continuous standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, grasping, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, working and reaching overhead, using ladders or lifts, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more.
· Ability to use handling equipment and machinery including sorter systems, conveyors, RF guns, metal hooks, plastic bags, plastic packaging, cardboard boxes, tape dispensers, and other materials necessary to the production and packaging of our merchandise.
· Dependable team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done and flexible in scheduling is required based on business needs (i.e.; increased hours, weekends, holidays, and volume of work, staffing shortages, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
