Retail Clerk/Cashier

Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers.

- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.

- Ensure shelves are stocked and well-organized.

- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.

- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking.

- Assist with receiving and unpacking merchandise.

- Follow all safety and security procedures.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

- Basic math skills for cash handling.

- Must be at least 18 years old.

Working Hours:

This position requires a commitment of 24 hours per week. The specific working schedule will be determined upon hiring and may include weekdays, weekends, and evenings.

Duties:

- Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist customers in locating products and answering any inquiries they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policies.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills:

- Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in retail math.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues.
- Proficient in operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Knowledge of product
- Familiarity with wireless sales or electronics sales is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
