Job Title: Retail and Facilities Associate

Department: SPCA Thrift Store and Adoption Center

Reports to (Title): Thrift Store Retail Manager and Executive Director

Status: Full-time, $13.50/hr.

Schedule: 5 days a week with availability needed Mon-Sat.

Job Summary: The Retail and Facilities Coordinator position plays a vital role in the operations of both our Thrift Store and Adoption Center. This position involves a blend of logistical, customer service, and maintenance responsibilities. Thrift Store duties include donation pick-ups, handling donated items, ensuring they are efficiently processed and presented in our store, thereby directly contributing to our fundraising efforts. Adoption Center duties include maintaining the beauty and functionality of our grounds and Facilities, enhancing the well-being of our animals and the experience of our visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

● Logistics and Retail Operations

o Receive, sort, price, and stock donated items as directed.

o Perform donation pick-ups and deliveries using a 16ft box truck.

o Assist customers on the sales floor and with item loading to ensure a positive shopping experience.

o Keep store & inventory clean & organized including stock & sorting rooms, changing areas and restrooms.

o Professionally and positively represent the SPCA Albrecht Center and our mission.

● Facility and Grounds Maintenance

o Oversee the landscaping, building, and pool maintenance at the Adoption Center.

o Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both animals and visitors.

Qualifications:

● Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

● Ability to drive a 16ft box truck and lift heavy items weighing 50lbs+ such as furniture.

● Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

● Excellent communication and customer service skills.

● Good time management abilities.

● Capability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and conscientiousness.

● Passion for animal welfare and alignment with the mission of the SPCA Albrecht Center.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
