Restoration Technician (Milwaukee County, WI)
We are currently seeking full-time Restoration Techniciansto perform duties relating to fire prevention and remediation. Duties include rough and finish carpentry, painting, equipment and facility repairs.
Electrical and plumbing repairs will also be performed.
Other qualifications and responsibilities might arise as deemed necessary by circumstances.
Must be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends.
This is a full-time position requiring regular attendance in accordance with Metropolitan Associates’ attendance policy, valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle as frequent travel is required.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform property restoration work for apartment communities.
- Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, packing customer’s contents, general on-location cleaning, HVAC cleaning, and deodorization of facilities.
- Works with Residential Fire Safety Auditors as needed relating to fire prevention initiatives.
- Assists with the setup of emergency services equipment, preparing contents for storage, and lifting items into storage.
- Perform electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs including:
-Basic electrical ability, changing outlets, fixtures and breakers.
-Basic HVAC knowledge of boilers and forced air furnaces.
-Basic plumbing such as changing out faucets, re-piping, replacing toilets, replacing sinks and unclogging drains.
- Basic roofing skills such as tarring stack pipes, vents and patching.
- Perform work at high elevations such as from a ladder and scaffolding.
- Maintains tools and maintenance equipment to ensure they are in good working order; keeps maintenance room in neat condition.
- Available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including circular saw, drill, jig saw, electrical tester, hand tools, power tools, cordless tools.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
