JOB OVERVIEW
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the dining room by directing the activity of staff, facilitate the prompt and accurate seating and service of all guests, accept payment for food and beverage, and make proper change to help servers in assuring quality customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
1. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
2. Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
3. Be aware of guests’ needs; assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
4. Collect money or credit cards from guests and servers.
5. Assist in the training and development of associates as needed.
6. Assist associates in the performance of their duties.
7. Provide information to the Food and Beverage Director or Assistant Manager concerning restaurant and/or bar needs.
8. Complete end of shift paperwork.
9. Regular and prompt attendance as well as the ability to work the schedule as defined and overtime as required.
10. Meet and speak to guests concerning special needs or complaints.
11. Open and close shift in accordance with manager’s checklist.
12. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests.
13. Attend restaurant associate meetings.
14. Gather and implement all proper tools for running shift (i.e. schedules, floor plans, reservations, checks, etc.). 2
15. Ensure that guests are satisfied by assisting with service, seating, and communicating with kitchen and by striving to speak to all guests.
16. Ensure all side work is done on a daily basis.
17. Handle guest service issues or complaints.
18. Take reservations for outlets.
19. Monitor bartenders for proper alcohol service/guest intoxication levels, while adhering to state liquor laws.
20. Act as a liaison between kitchen and front of the house associates and operations.
21. Work quickly and independently to resolve operational and/or guest issues when necessary, ensuring proper follow through with the appropriate manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good communication and interpersonal skills; must have command of the English language both written and verbal. Strong knowledge of F&B operations, service, wine, and beverage preparation. Excellent mathematical abilities, to order, track inventory, control revenue productions, and other hotel Financial Statements. May be required to work the entire shift standing and moving about in the restaurant, bar and kitchen. Calm professional demeanor with the skills necessary to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some who will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to differ anger and resolve conflict. Supervisory expertise to plan, direct, coach, train, and discipline as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance. Every associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
