Restaurant Server

The Railyard, a new and exciting restaurant in Scranton is looking to expand its team! We are accepting applications for both Lunch/Dinner Servers!

Available Bartender positions include:

• Lunch Server
• Dinner Server
• As a Server, you will provide friendly and responsive service to all guests, ensuring a fun and safe environment. You will wait on tables and sometime craft cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages. You will be expected to learn and maintain knowledge of our food menu, common drinks, and make suggestions to guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Take customer's Food & Drink Order
• Serves customers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, cocktails, juices, etc.
• Serves customer's food orders, bringing their meals to the appropriate table.
• Assess customer needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Ensure the dining area adheres to standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
• Responsible for ensuring a safe and secure area by enforcing standards and procedures for alcohol consumption; complying with all legal regulations
• Monitor customers' alcohol consumption and refuse service and/or call for alternate transportation as necessary
• Perform cash-handling functions, including point-of-sale (POS) system, registers, and daily reporting

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have some restaurant experience

Desired Qualifications & Traits

• Previous Server training and/or experience
• RAMP Certification
• Understanding of sanitation-related issues and knowledge of precautions necessary to ensure a clean environment
• Projects professional image that inspires trust and confidence
• Enthusiastic and positive energy
• Multi-tasking ability

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to bend, stretch, and twist
• Able to stand for long periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $75.00 - $400.00 per day

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
