Norfolk Yacht & Country Club is accepting applications for full and part time servers and bartenders for full service a la carte dining and banquets. Prior experience preferred. Qualified candidates will have a great attitude, be a team player and be very customer service and hospitality oriented, have flexible availability (willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays), have attention to detail and the ability to work in a face paced environment.
The major responsibilities of this position are:
- Sets up sections and performs assigned side work
- Provides exceptional food and beverage service to club members and guests in a timely manner.
- Answers questions and suggests menu items; is descriptive with menu items and how they are prepared
- Develops excellent knowledge of menu, wine list and drink specials
- Works as a team with others; help with guests and side work
- Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
- Charges guests in guest rooms and yachts appropriately
- Presents the bill in a timely manner
- Handles all member, cash, and credit charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
- Performs clean-up, closing duties, and room resets as assigned by manager
- Attends pre-service meetings (Line up)
- Reports to work in proper uniform
