Jack & Charlie’s 118 is seeking a qualified restaurant managerto join their team.
Located in the heart of the West Village, Jack & Charlie’s 118 serves a traditional American menu, focusingon wood-fired cooking, classically crafted cocktailsand detail oriented service.The design, influenced by the traditional dinner clubs of NYC, London, and Paris, includes multiple dining rooms and a raw bar.
The ideal candidate should possess a commitment to elevating all aspects of the guest experience. A strong work ethic, attention to detail and sense of urgency are imperative, as are the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time proficiently. You should have a genuine passion for hospitality, with the desire to grow professionally.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the hiring, training, developing, scheduling and management of all FOH staff
• Maintaining the highest levels of service and hospitality
• Motivating and mentoring staff’s knowledge and development
• Oversee guest services and resolve issues
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
• A minimum of two years’ management experience in food and beverage
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality and\or culinary arts is welcome, but not required
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of food ingredients and cooking techniques
• Good knowledge in wine, spirits, and beverages
• Strong understanding of dining room dynamics and service standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Toast and reservation systems
• NYC Food Handler's Permit
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time
