Our restaurant has recently opened its doors in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, offering an exquisite all-day experience featuring Japanese and Scandinavian cuisine in a classy but relaxed atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of Williamsburg, we pride ourselves on providing a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. We offer Brakfast, Lunch, Brunch and Dinner service. A large outdoor terrace completes the space. Our Bistro has been featured on The New York Times, Time Out NY and other publications.
**About the Role:**
As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our establishment. You will collaborate closely with the owners, and the rest of the management team to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and driving the restaurant's continued success.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Leadership and Team Management:**
- Lead by example and foster a positive work environment for all team members.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, ensuring high levels of professionalism and customer service.
- Delegate tasks effectively and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the team's success.
2. **Customer Experience:**
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and hospitality, ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
3. **Operational Excellence:**
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for food, beverages, and service, consistently delivering excellence in every aspect of the guest experience.
4. **Financial Management:**
- Manage budgetary goals and financial performance, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Implement strategies to increase sales, optimize resource utilization, and maximize overall efficiency and profitability.
5. **Growth and Development:**
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement initiatives for business growth and expansion, including the introduction of brunches and lunches.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, contributing to the continuous evolution and success of the restaurant.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in restaurant management, preferably in a Japanese environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Proven track record of achieving operational and financial goals, with a focus on efficiency and profitability.
- Knowledge of Japanese and Scandinavian cuisine is a plus but not required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
