BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
To provide excellent service to the guests of TMCH, and assist the Restaurant Supervisor in the managing of the service staff of the Plankhouse Restaurant.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
• To keep the Mill Casino clean.
• Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of guest service and satisfaction.
• Responsible for guest interaction, i.e., greeting, seating, making the guest feel at ease.
• Must be aware of all daily food specials, as well as beer and wine specials.
• Answer telephone calls and transfer to the appropriate departments within the Casino when necessary.
• Assign floor assignments, making sure all servers are accounted for, and that they are in the proper uniform and on time.
• Record all absences and tardies called in to the front of the house and cover shifts if necessary.
• Coordinate breaks with the staff.
• Interact with customers on the floor frequently, making sure service is satisfactory.
• Responsible for cashiering and must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Micros system.
• Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Must have a valid OLCC permit.
• Must be flexible in schedule.
• Ability to answer telephone with proper etiquette.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Must meet dress standards as required at all times.
• Must meet health and sanitation standards at all times.
• Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
