Position: Restaurant Host/Hostess

Location: Bayberry (501 Main Street, Islip, NY 11751)

Shift Information: Flexible Hours

As a Host/Hostess, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
• Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide them with menus
• Take reservations and manage the waiting list
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor the dining room for empty or cleaned tables
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
• Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a clean and organized host/host station

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members
• Knowledge of food service and hospitality industry practices
• Strong guest relations skills to provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong phone etiquette

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
