SalaryBickering Twins Restaurant is looking for a candidate who can work 3-4 shifts per week. Must be able to work some weekends. Estimated shift times are 5:00 pm-9:30pm but shifts will sometimes run earlier OR later than this. Must be by then end of March .
The preferred starting schedule is Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays but we may be able to adapt to your scheduling preferences after the first couple weeks.
All candidates will start with a trial shift. Upon being hired, candidates will do 2 additional training shifts. For those first 3 shifts, you will receive a training wage of $15.00/hour without tips and then your wage will become $12/hour plus tips. Hosts at Bickering Twins average $18-22 per hour depending on the days of the week worked and which season.
Goal of the Position: Give customers accurate estimates for wait times when needed and take the responsibility for seating customers off the shoulders of busy servers. Be the first person to make friendly and inviting contact with customers looking to be seated. The most important job of the host is to make decisions regarding seating arrangements that will allow the restaurant to serve as many tables as possible.
Responsibilities
· Greet customers in a friendly and inviting fashion.
· Seat them in a section of the indoor or outdoor dining room that is suitable for the servers in a given scenario.
· Keep customer’s name and contact information on our waitlist app.
Use our waitlist app to notify customers when their table is ready.
· Use downtime to buss tables, wipe them clean, and put a new table setting.
· Give customers menus or.
· When there is no table immediately available, present the waiting options in a manner that encourages the customer to wait
· Understand the layout of the dining areas and seating arrangements to serve as many customers as possible.
· Assist in ‘flipping’ tables as fast as possible
