Host/Hostess Job Description
- Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
- Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
- Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
- Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have
- Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
- Answering phones and scheduling reservations
- Work well in a fast paced environment as a member of a team.
- Communicate effectively with other staff members and guests.
- Maintain a sense of urgency at all times and take initiative.
- Handle customer complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
- Be dedicated to our customers, our brand and each other.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in a restaurant environment.
- Must be familiar with RESY reservation software
- Customer service oriented. Attentiveness and patience.
- Problem solving skills
- Responsible, dependable and punctual.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety. Food safety certification will be a plus.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Flexible/open availability
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
