Respiratory Therapist

Duties:
- Perform airway management procedures such as intubation and extubation
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care support
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment

Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a Respiratory Therapist
- Knowledge of respiratory physiology and pathophysiology
- Experience in acute care settings, such as the ICU, is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to respiratory care
- Ability to ventilate patients using various methods and equipment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is a plus
- Ability to perform patient assessments and interpret diagnostic test results
- Familiarity with medication administration related to respiratory therapy

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $53.00 - $56.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week

Experience:

• Respiratory therapy: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS(AHA) Certification (Required)
• ACLS(AHA) Certification (Required)
• PALS(AHA) Certification (Required)
• NRP Certification (Required)
