POSITION SUMMARY
The Residential Mortgage Originations Assistantis responsible for assisting the Residential Mortgage loan originations Team in all of their activities related to the process of originating loans as outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure department’s adherence to federal regulations governing mortgage loan process
- Ensure department’s compliance with all Bank policies and procedures
- Interact with Customers and prospects on all issues related to the Loan Originations Process
- On occasion represent the Bank in the Real Estate Agent community and mortgage lending industry
- Assist the Unit in meeting all of its goals for portfolio growth
- Meet or exceed all individual goals as assigned by Department Manager
- Assist and/or monitor all activities related to the loan process from inception to booking
- Maintain detailed reports of mortgage lending activities and loan portfolio performance
- Resolve delinquent and/or troubled loans and collection issues
- Full knowledge and understanding of bank policies, procedures, regulatory and compliance requirements, including but not limited to BSA/AML, CDD, EDD, and others as defined by the Compliance Division and Information Security Division
- Attend and/or complete all required training as assigned
- Assist in preparation of monthly reports including Pipeline Report for “Loans in Process, Prospects, and Approved and Closed loans.
Leadership & Supervisory Expectations
- Ensure that the mission and core values of the company are followed and practiced
- Interact with Customers/Prospects in a proactive manner that ensures an outstanding Customer Experience for each loan transaction
- Interact with the Real Estate Agent community, Attorneys and other referral sources on a regular basis ensuring that BB Americas becomes their primary source to refer their customers
- Work effectively with all staff of the Residential Mortgage Department and contribute to team work, efficiency and continuous improvement of the area
- Support and enforce sound policies and procedures for the department and the bank
- Assist co-workers reaching departmental goals
