Description: Residential Child Care Program Director (RCCPD) functions as a general manager for the residential children service and its residents. The Director’s primary responsibility is to create and maintain an environment where all residential children facilities and staff are in compliance with Developmental Disabilities Administration guidelines and expectations. Additionally, the RCCPD will grow the program via community networking and outreach. The Residential Coordinator should be in constant communication with the Delegating Nurses to ensure all clients are receiving proper medical care to ensure the health of each client.
Reports To: Executive Director
Education and/or experience:
o Bachelors or Master’s Degree required
o Residential Child Care Program Administrator Certification (RCCPA) required
o At least 4 years working in Human Services
o At least 3 years working with children with Autism and Developmental Disabilities
o 2 or more years of Supervisory Experience
- Child and Adult CPR & First Aid training

General Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Type documents, reports and correspondence.
- Participate in Individual Education Plan meetings (IEP).
- Assist in or complete development of Individual Service Plan/Person Centered Plan (ISP/PCP)
- Host core training and orientation for employees of the residential child care program.
- Scheduling and rotation of all employees who work in residential child care facilities.
- Ensuring employees follow regulation and complete given tasks.
- Ensuring employees fill out all required documentation with respect to individuals receiving services through Destiny.
- Assessing and completing disciplinary measures for staff that are non-compliant with agency policies and procedures.
- Delegating tasks to staff members and providing tools and feedback for completion. This includes but is not limited to: grocery shopping and storage, transportation to and from appointments, and individual supervision.
- Host and facilitate residential staff meetings: monthly per each home and quarterly for general assembly.
- Assist in the safe evacuation of all persons during an emergency or disaster situation.
- Keep residents informed of all policies and procedures and ensure compliance with these guidelines.
- Organize resident activities that promote housing stability.
- Conduct on-going periodic assessments of residents’ needs.
- Conduct intake and detailed assessment of prospective program participants.
- Communicate and coordinate with other administrative members.
- Assist with agency event planning and implementation.

- Successful completion of Child Protective Service Clearances
- Maintain RCCPA certification
- CRCCPAs are required to complete 40 Continued Education Units (CEU) within the 2-year period prior to their renewal date
