We are looking for the right candidate to join our Property Operations Team as a Residential Billing Representative.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
- Reconcile payments received from the residents or Treasury and record to the residential tenants’ ledgers
- Record and deposit all first month’s rent and security for all Residential properties. Responsible for resident financial move in.
- Reconcile security upon resident vacancy, and initiate the processing of tenant security refund checks
- Initiate stop payments, voids and reissues of tenant security refund and/or over payment of rent checks
- Analyze and monitor various Exception Reports to ensure billing accuracy and compliance to statutory regulations
- Researching and investigating Residential Billing issues/problems and responding to inquiries from all other departments.
- Processing of rent payments received from government agencies on behalf of our residents
- Review Resident monthly charge reports to ensure accuracy to facilitate rent bill processing
- Liaise with Property Management Team to ensure best in class customer service for all residential tenants. Advise Property Management team and make recommendations for problem resolution.
- Participation in various Special Projects; including onboarding acquisitions and new construction lease up projects, and system enhancement projects to facilitate company initiatives.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Two (2) to five (5) years or more experience in Billing. Accounting background a plus.
Skills:
- Problem solving skills – need to be able to research tenant and banking issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Yardi – a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work within a time-sensitive environment, be proactive and be able to handle confidential material
- Attention to detail a must
- Excellent oral, written and telephonic communication and interpersonal skills
- Good follow up skill- act with a sense of urgency
