Job description

12 Hour Shifts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Belief in 12-step recovery essential.
  • Knowledgeable about the disease of Substance Use Disorder and community resources.
  • Bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in residential treatment setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Minimum one year personal program of recovery if applicable.
  • Must have valid driver's license.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Support staff in administration of residential treatment.
  • Interacts with residents in a supportive manner, encouraging discussion and activities focused on recovery.
  • Maintains accurate fiscal records on site, including food stamps, client fees, etc. (includes maintaining day sheets of charges and payments).
  • Tracks completion of related client forms in timely manner, i.e. food stamps and JFS applications.
  • Compiles client outcome reports and coordinates assignment of data collection with counselor.
  • Informs Residential Treatment Manager of necessary pending purchases per established procedures.
  • Delivers cash receipts to Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist for deposit per established procedures.
  • Types correspondence for Residential staff and maintains adequate supply of all items.
  • Answers agency phone calls in responsible, professional manner and refers to appropriate agency and/or community resources.
  • Communicates and assures residents’ compliance with all residential guidelines, policies and procedures, including health and safety standards and chores.
  • Ensure medication self-administration, monitoring, storage, and disposal are implemented in a safe manner for clients and staff.
  • Follow all guidelines and protocols for monitoring self-administration of client's medications.
  • Responsible for notifying the appropriate pharmacy and/or medical provider when prescriptions need refilled.
  • Responsible for completing house inspections on each shift using a facility checklist and ensuring that residents are completing daily and weekly chores.
  • Report any maintenance issues to immediate supervisor and submit work orders as instructed and needed.
  • Able to manage normal residential treatment functioning and emergency situations independently.
  • Depending on licensure, assist with clinical activities as assigned and documented by supervisor, including but not limited to: case management and group.
  • Completes client charting and documentation in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintains professional standards of ethics, including client confidentiality.
  • May transport residents as necessary and assigned by supervisor.
  • Participates in all agency and residential staff meetings as required.
  • Remain on duty beyond scheduled times, if necessary, when the welfare of the residents may be otherwise adversely affected.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
