Resident Care Assistant

The following shifts are available:

• 6:00am - 2:30pm Sat and Sun (part-time)
• 2:00pm - 10:30pm Mon, and Wed - Sat (full-time)
• 2:00pm - 10:30pm Monday - Wed, Fri, Sat (full-time)
• 2:00pm - 10:30pm Sunday - Thursday (full-time)
• 10:00pm - 6:00am Wed- Sun (full-time)
• 10:00pm - 6:00am Thurs - Monday (full-time)

Duties:

- Provide care and assistance to residents in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Ensure that resident rights are upheld and respected at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Provide support to residents with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or other specific care requirements.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Help residents with mobility and transfers as needed.

Skills:

- Strong caregiving skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for residents' needs.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately and documenting them appropriately.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with nursing home, assisted living, or home care environments is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
