Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine is looking for a full-time Research Technologist in a molecular/cell biology lab setting. Our lab is interested in studying the relationship between mitochondrial metabolism and lung stem cells as it relates to lung injury and repair. Responsibilities include animal surgical procedures, mouse husbandry, genotyping, tissue histology, image acquisition, and analysis. The Research Technologist will carry out ongoing, NIH-funded research projects under the guidance of the principal investigator, who is a physician-scientist specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine and an assistant professor with the school of medicine.
The candidate should be expected to have completed a bachelor’s or more advanced degree at the start of employment. Six months or more of bench lab research experience, paid or un-paid, is required.
