This position will perform activities in research in entomology and agriculture, including planting, maintenance of research plots, harvesting of cotton, insect sampling, counting and identification of cotton pest and beneficial arthropods, care and maintenance of insect colonies used for research, field testing of pesticides and other insecticidal technologies, data entry and proofing.

Duties & Responsibilities- Assistance in field and laboratory testing of pesticides and other insecticidal technologies.
- Plant and insect sampling, counting and identification of cotton pest and beneficial arthropods.
- Perform scientific data collections and routine procedures characterized by moderate use of independent judgment.
- Maintain detailed records of studies conducted, organizes data, prepares data for computer input and records computer output.
- Data entry and proofing.
- Planting, harvesting, ginning and maintenance of research plots and insect colonies.
- Organize supplies, materials or equipment and sets-up equipment for laboratory experiments or demonstrations.
- Clean glassware and other laboratory equipment or materials.
- Keep laboratory area clean.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Relevant work experience is preferred but not required.
