Phoenix Loss Control (“Phoenix” or “PLC”) is a business services provider in the cable, telecom, and utilities sector. PLC’s core service is outside plant damage investigation, recovery, and prevention. We help our clients recover the costs of third-party damages to their infrastructure, such as underground fiber optic or gas lines. PLC currently services some of the largest cable and telecoms operators across the country (Comcast, Spectrum, AT&T, and Google, to name a few). Phoenix is currently aggressively expanding its business and is looking for talented and energetic people to bring onboard to help drive growth.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Phoenix Research Specialist, the candidate would oversee processing Police/Fire Report requests, Insurance searches, COI requests, FOIA requests along with building and maintaining a knowledge base of public search resources, contacts and required request forms. The candidate would report directly to the Vice President of Recovery Operations and be responsible for making sure all of Phoenix’s request for information from outside sources is done accurately and in a timely manner, as well as helping provide coverage on skip tracing and locate portal requests as needed. The candidate would also work closely with our Claim Managers to ensure complete and accurate request results are provided.
DUTIES
- Work directly with the VP to expand and maintain an efficient and effective inhouse Research function.
- Maintain a knowledge base of available resources, contacts and required forms for information requests.
- Assist with Skip Tracing and Locate Portal requests as needed.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- The ability to work independently, manage goals and deadlines, have good attention to detail.
- High level of Organization / ability to maintain accurate and fluid information records.
- Self-Motivated, Creative Thinker / ability search out new and creative ways to obtain information.
- Experience in research and utility damages strongly preferred.
- High speed internet access, personal computer, phone line dedicated to work contacts.
