Investment Research Specialist
What can you expect?
- Be part of Mercer's global team of over 200 asset class specialists, as an Investment Research Associate in the Multi-Asset Group.,
- Participate in and conduct detailed due diligence of multi-asset strategies, ultimately proposing strategies for Mercer's recommended list.
- Synthesize Mercer's view through a forward-looking research report that explains why Mercer believes a manager's strategy will outperform its respective benchmark or achieve its return objective over a full market cycle.
- Gain access to a wide variety of asset managers via participation in meetings.
- Enhance personal skill set by working collaboratively with team members and engaging with asset managers and investment consultants.

- Gather and organize data from various sources in a timely manner using appropriate methods to meet the specific information needs of consultants.
- Role will report to the regional Head of Multi-Asset Manager Research.

We will count on you to:
- Participate in and/or lead interviews with portfolio management teams and business leaders.
- Gather and analyze information to identify and communicate those asset managers that Mercer believes are most likely able to generate value for our clients.
- Meet the needs of clients - including analytics, strategic research, etc.
- Attend external conferences, as appropriate, to develop technical knowledge and advance your personal career.
- Conduct quantitative analysis by developing and maintaining relevant data, charts, summary views, and detailed analysis to support our research ratings across various research documents.
- Contribute to post-meeting discussions covering key issues and recommended manager ratings.
- Provide ad hoc support to consultants in preparing for internal and external research meetings.
- Assist in the preparation for direct client discussions on managers/strategies.
What you need to have:
- Willingness to learn.
- BA/BS degree in finance, economics, or other business-related areas.
- At least 3 years of applicable experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and a willingness to take on new opportunities.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $82,800 to $165,600.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
