Job Summary


This position will manage personnel security databases and related information systems/software dedicated to establishing and maintaining personnel and industrial security related matters. This includes interpreting DoD, DCSA, and GTRI policies, guidance, and procedures to ensure compliance of a largely cleared employee base. This role will also perform multi-faceted security management, working with faculty, researchers, and staff both on and off-site.
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit research and staff personnel, security personnel, and government security agency personnel.
This position typically will advise and counsel: Unit management and Users of classified material.
This position will supervise: NA

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Create, modify, review, and safeguard DD254s (Contract Security Classification Specification) in support of GTRI's Collateral or Special Access Contracts and Subcontracts. Applicable SAP/SCI guidance Special Security must adhere to regarding contracts/254s
Job Duty 2 -
Have a working knowledge with the National Industrial Security System (NISS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Security Information Management Systems (SIMS), and other relevant security databases
Job Duty 3 -
Utilizing policies, security classification guides, and contract specifications, provide instructions on the proper handling, safeguarding, and disposition of classified material
Job Duty 4 -
Advise management on industrial security matters in accordance with SEAD 3 directive and 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual
Job Duty 5 -
Provide support to Collateral or Special Access Personnel Security and Visits with such tasks as; processing SF312s, incoming and outgoing visit requests, and personnel security clearance checks
Job Duty 6 -
Perform self-inspection reports in accordance with the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program standards and GTRI policies
Job Duty 7 -
Perform physical checks of security containers and maintain safeguards of PII and Controlled Unclassified Information
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five or more years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
DCSA Industrial Security Course Completions; knowledge and experience with National Industrial Security System (NISS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and eQIP. Knowledge of safeguarding classified information and systems and controlled unclassified information.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility for on-site daily working hours (due to client shift schedules, and project deadlines)
Ability/flexibility to multitask and be available for a variety of tasks as needs arise
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM; experience with DISS/NISS/eQIP/SWIFT; strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal); experience with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); industrial security processes and practices; records management; application of government security requirements and policies.
